Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager for CBI Construction collaborates with project management and field teams to ensure safety, quality, scheduling and budgeting are met on projects being constructed and/or managed by CBI. Responsibilities include reviewing plans/specifications, developing and tracking project schedules, maintaining SOVs for subcontracts, issuing and tracking LOIs, purchase orders, subcontracts and related paperwork, handling RFIs/submittals; assisting with budgets; coordinating with Preconstruction and field teams; ensuring OSHA/compliance; and proficient use of project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, BlueBeam). Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field, a minimum of 2 years' experience, effective communication, coordination across design disciplines, and relocation to the project site as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in construction management
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret architectural and consultant drawings, specifications, and details
- Ability to interact well with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors in a professional manner
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, BlueBeam, MS Project) and MS Excel
- Strong writing and speaking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
- Ability to relocate to the project site for the duration of the project
