Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Plan, direct, and coordinate construction and maintenance activities for structures, facilities, and systems. Manage smaller projects through estimating, cost control, scheduling, reporting, and document control. Administer gradebeam setup, attend walk-throughs as a company representative, and establish the CMIC process. Support project start-up, implement overall schedules, and oversee daily project management. Establish subcontractor communication processes, manage document distribution for the team, and prepare documentation for LEED certified projects. Administer change management in collaboration with the PM or SPM, report major schedule or quality issues, and run pre-construction and OAC meetings. Collaborate with the project superintendent on field-related issues. Requires a Bachelor's degree, four years of progressive experience, and proficiency in CMiC, Procore, AutoCAD, and financial management tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Engineering, foreign equivalent, or related field
  • four (4) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related occupations
  • Robust understanding and experience implementing all construction related programs
  • Experience implementing CMiC
  • Experience implementing Bluebeam
  • Experience implementing Procore
  • Experience implementing Navisworks
  • Experience implementing AutoCAD/ Revit
  • Experience implementing Matterport
  • Experience implementing Power Project
  • Experience implementing Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in quantity take off
  • Experience in unit cost assembly
  • Experience in collaborative budgeting with select trades and vendors
  • Experience from each phase of preconstruction, including schematic design through construction documentation
  • Engineering of both structural and civil systems
  • Ability to review structural engineering calculations for structural steel
  • Ability to provide feedback to both engineers of record and subcontractors
  • Experience in change order assembly/ review
  • Experience in market price comparisons
  • Experience in Owner change order assembly and review
  • Experience in posting contract amount increases
  • Subcontract award experience
  • Ability to create a scope of work
  • Ability to competitively bid that scope
  • Ability to review scope with project stakeholders
  • Ability to host a scope review
  • Ability to award a full subcontract
  • Experience reviewing terms and conditions of owner contracts to ensure compliance throughout project completion
