Job Summary
Manage and estimate construction projects by organizing elements, reviewing drawings, and assembling details for job bid proposals. Develop relationships with subcontractors to secure information, support monthly Work in Progress reporting, and project budget adherence. Maintain project schedules through progress monitoring and coordinate activities while controlling costs via expenditure recommendations and contract administration. Prepare status reports by analyzing trends and recommend actions, travel to job sites to review progress and solve challenges, and update construction systems. Work independently with minimal oversight to assist senior managers in the design, pre-construction, and construction phases.
Required Qualifications
- BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in the construction field
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings
- Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Leadership abilities to communicate and influence others
- Positive attitude focused on customers and clients
- Superb personal and communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels to the organization including stakeholders, developers, and contractors
- Exceptional problem solving, administrative, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
- Established ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team to produce best results
- Excellent ability in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Travel to job site location when necessary
- Must be able to maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
- Must be available to support the Project Manager to answer any customer inquiry
