Job Summary
The Assistant Project Manager performs various administrative responsibilities in construction projects such as quantity tracking, cost control, scheduling, engineering design implementation, and document control. Key duties include managing the document control system, reviewing submittals, assisting with project closeout documentation, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining job cost reporting. Successful candidates will have a degree in Civil Engineering or related fields, proven construction experience, specifically in heavy highway and bridge projects, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but may be substituted with equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in the construction industry, focusing on heavy highway, bridge, and heavy civil projects.
- At least 5 years of experience managing DOT projects is strongly preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven project management experience in construction, specifically within heavy highway, bridge, and heavy civil sectors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of management.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
