Job Summary
Assist Project Manager to coordinate data center construction projects, manage scope/schedule/budget, support RFIs/submittals, coordinate internal and external resources, maintain PMIS, BIM coordination, and lead project meetings. Responsibilities include shadowing senior PMs, learning project workflows, coordinating resources, gathering documentation, supporting cost control and safety practices, and interfacing with clients. Requires ability to read construction drawings/contracts, manage RFIs/submittals, track progress, and travel up to 20% for site meetings. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Data Center build outs (Infrastructure, Low Voltage, or Electrical). Experience with data center operations and 2–4 years in construction project support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; BIM experience preferred; strong communication and organization skills; commitment to safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Data Center build outs (Infrastructure, Low Voltage, or Electrical)
- 2–4 years of experience supporting construction projects
- Experience with Data Center Operations (Infrastructure, Low Voltage, or Electrical)
- Knowledge of construction project controls, cost tracking, scheduling, and change management
- Experience with subcontractor and supplier contract administration
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contracts
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and project documentation in a PMIS
- Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills
- Commitment to safety management practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; construction software and BIM experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Willing to travel up to 20%
