Job Summary
Assist Project Manager in planning and coordinating HVAC projects from planning through completion; handle project coordination, administrative tasks, and ensuring project deadlines; collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project operations; monitor timelines, milestones, budgets, and deadlines; assist with scheduling labor, materials, and equipment for HVAC installations; maintain project documentation, contracts, change orders, permits, and inspection reports; prepare reports, meeting notes, and client presentations; support budgeting, cost analysis, and procurement; act as a point of contact for clients and vendors when the PM is unavailable; ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements; provide post-project closeout support and commissioning; travel to job sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent experience in the HVAC industry may be considered
- HVAC-related certifications or coursework is a plus (e.g., EPA certification, NATE certification)
- 2-4 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with some experience in project coordination or management preferred
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems, installations, and construction processes
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), project management software (e.g., MS Project), and familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and HVAC system designs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of budgeting and cost management
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
