Assistant Program Director Transitional House

Job Summary
Assist the Program Director with program oversight, staff supervision, and daily operations for the Transitional House, including case management oversight and on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies. Monitor subordinates, maintain staff schedules, and manage client appointments, logs, and facility inventory. Supervise daily program activities, review quality assurance files, and assist with staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and oversee daily operations in the absence of the Program Director. Work evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule. Reports to the Program Director.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years' experience in management
- minimum of 1 year of supervision of staff
- considerable knowledge of case management
- considerable knowledge of substance abuse
- considerable knowledge of community resources
- valid State of Connecticut driver's license
- motor vehicle insurance
- Good interpersonal skills
- ability to deal with a diverse population
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be available for some evenings and weekends
- Must be on-call 24 hours a day on a rotating schedule

- Experience working with offender population in a community/residential program
