Job Summary
Supervise shelter environments to ensure behavioral guidelines are followed and therapeutic milieus are maintained. Coordinate and implement clinical services for multidisciplinary case management teams while monitoring day-to-day operations and service delivery quality. Provide regularly scheduled clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff, documenting sessions, completing appraisals, and administering discipline as required. Assist with hiring and termination recommendations, identify training needs, and develop programs to maintain clinical competency and policy compliance. Ensure accurate, complete, and timely client treatment records that meet regulatory requirements. Manage facility or clinical emergencies and provide on-call administration as needed. Requires an Associate's Degree, 15+ years of experience with the homeless population, and 10+ years supervising social service staff. Salary is $72,000-$77,638; position is on-site in New York City.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- 15+ years of progressive experience working with homeless population
- 10+ years of experience supervising social service/human services staff in shelter/transitional or permanent supportive housing
- experience working with the NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) or other similar city operated organization
- Strong leadership and effective management skills
- Ability to implement and monitor policy and procedure in accordance with agency guidelines
- Knowledgeable about Federal, State and Local law and regulation governing substance abuse treatment programs
- Good analytical, organizational skills and problem-solving skills
