Job Summary
Supervise assigned staff and oversee clinical operations, including providing clinical supervision hours for registered interns. Serve as head of service during the Program Director's absence and recruit, interview, and evaluate applicants for clinical positions. Plan and implement clinical training for staff, assist with onboarding new therapists and case aides, and maintain compliance with DMH and Gateways' documentation requirements. Develop and monitor group schedules, write reports, and facilitate client transfers to higher levels of care during crisis situations. Provide on-call coverage for emergency consultations outside regular hours. Maintain detailed knowledge of professional trends and participate in inter-agency meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Experience providing individual and group therapy in mental health field
- Functional experience with mental health system
- Treatment and diagnostic skills utilizing the DSM V
- Experience with severe and persistent mental illness substance abuse, and evaluating dangerous behaviors
- Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work or psychology
- LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or licensed Psychologist
- Must be eligible to complete appropriate clinical supervision training in order to supervise registered MFT or MSW interns or other disciplines as designated
- Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) background clearance
- Valid California Driver's license
- TB clearance
- Driving record acceptable for coverage by Gateways insurance carrier
