Job Summary
Supervise site staff to ensure quality instruction and implement ChanceLight policies while assisting the school director with educational, administrative, and counseling activities. Provide vision and leadership by developing performance management plans, coaching employee development, and analyzing assessment data to guide academic interventions. Manage daily operations including scheduling, facility oversight, and student behavior, while serving as the liaison between the site and district contacts. Maintain compliance with state requirements, manage employment processes, and represent the organization at community and district levels. Ensure a safe learning environment by addressing incidents and participating in accreditation processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an AR state teaching credential
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a special education credential
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in the development, assessment, and management of curriculum, content areas and instruction; preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders and/or other related disabilities
- Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals and next steps
- Effective management skills and comprehensive knowledge of administrative and school operations, functions, and compliance requirements
- Prior experience and highly skilled in providing training, professional development and/or coaching to teachers and education staff
- Highly skilled in building relationships with students, parents, teachers and community and/or business partners
- Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in special education, educational leadership or a closely related field of study preferred
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an educational leadership, administration, principal or related credential preferred
