Job Summary
Assist the Program Director in overseeing daily operations, designing programming, and managing scheduling for the afterschool program. Track student records, lead group activities, and coordinate parent involvement and community outreach to enroll participants. Provide overall leadership during the Program Director's absence and maintain an environment of safety and accountability. Schedule and participate in professional development and staff meetings. Network with community organizations to expand services. Work 35 hours weekly from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm, with occasional weekends or late evenings. Requires three years of youth program supervision experience and ability to pass DOHMH and DOE clearances.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Three years experience in youth program supervision and/or administration
- Experience in program development for youth
- Ability to engage in crisis-intervention activities
- Ability to demonstrate, lead, and teach a range of group activities
- Ability to work occasional weekends/late evenings
- Ability to pass DOHMH & DOE clearances and background checks
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or higher degree in Education or Social Work
