Job Summary
Full-time Assistant Professor of Veterinary Science at SUNY Ulster beginning August 2026. Teach a broad range of veterinary science courses, potentially day or evening classes, using instructional technology; minimum of fifteen credits taught per semester; advise veterinary technology club and student advisement; participate in curriculum development, course assessment, and online class development; maintain office hours (four per week); contribute to college committees and departmental duties; must hold a New York veterinary license (DVM/VMD for vets, or a bachelor’s degree for technicians) and have five years of diverse clinical experience; knowledge of Brightspace or similar LMS is a plus; salary $56,000–$69,500 per year with competitive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician in New York State
- DVM or VMD for Veterinarians; Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field for Technicians
- Minimum of five (5) years of diverse clinical practice
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Familiarity with Brightspace or similar LMS is a plus
