Job Summary
Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Public Health at Tarleton State University in the Department of Social Work & Public Health. Responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate Public Health courses in multiple modalities (hybrid, online, and some face-to-face), supervising capstone projects, internships, and theses; developing syllabi and assessments; engaging in scholarly activity and research; mentoring students; participating in service and program development; and contributing to accreditation and program assessment efforts. Requires earned doctorate in Public Health or related field by time of appointment, with demonstrated teaching excellence and scholarly potential. May teach across Stephenville campus and other campus locations as needed, including online modalities. Position located on Tarleton’s main campus in Stephenville, TX; 9-month tenure-track with potential summer appointments based on need. Equal opportunity employer with commitment to diversity. Required Qualifications
- Earned doctorate (PhD, DrPH, or related terminal degree) in Public Health or closely related field by time of appointment.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching Public Health at the undergraduate and/or graduate level in all modalities (hybrid, online, or face-to-face).
- Evidence of scholarly productivity or clear potential to establish a sustainable research agenda.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
