Job Summary
Teach 5-6 courses annually, including Social Psychology and an upper-level lab, utilizing flexible delivery methods like in-person, online, and hybrid formats. Advise students and mentor them in research, applied inquiry, and professional development, with a focus on engaging undergraduates from diverse backgrounds. Maintain an active scholarship agenda and collaborate with department colleagues to strengthen the program. Submit a thoughtful plan detailing how you will incorporate students into your research programs and offer Common Good Community-Engaged courses. Application review begins September 18, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- A doctoral degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Social Psychology or related field, or alternatively, ABD nearing completion
- Appointment at the rank of instructor
- Demonstration of a commitment to excellence in teaching
- Strong potential for productive research/scholarly activities
- Ability to teach courses in the area of Social Psychology
- Interest in teaching other courses that enhance current offerings
- Potential for inclusive classroom practices to support students from varied backgrounds and with varied interests
- Establishing a vibrant, high-quality and inclusive research program at a well-equipped undergraduate institution that has the potential to be competitive for external funding
- Involvement and mentoring undergraduate collaborators in their research
- Consent to and successful completion of a background screening
