Job Summary

Maintain an active research agenda, publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and secure extramural funding. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses while mentoring students across bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Provide service to the department, university, profession, and community through graduate committee work and professional engagement. Contribute to the instructional and research needs of the criminal justice and legal studies programs at the University of Mississippi's main campus in Oxford, Mississippi.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in criminology, criminal justice, law studies, or a related discipline
  • Degree must be in hand by the start of employment
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications in peer-reviewed scholarly journals appropriate to career stage
  • Capacity to secure and maintain extramural funding
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate students
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic, professional, and institutional service
