Job Summary
Assistant Professor of Radiography at CT State Community College (New Haven, CT) with on-site, 10-month tenure-track duties. Responsible for teaching thirty credit hours per academic year across didactic, hybrid, and online formats, developing syllabi, and maintaining current instructional materials. Roles include Program Coordinator or Clinical Coordinator duties such as recruiting and mentoring students, scheduling courses, hiring/evaluating faculty, coordinating internships, and ensuring clinical experiences meet accreditation standards. Responsibilities also include curriculum development, program assessment, and collaboration with external partners. Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor's degree in Radiology or related discipline, ARRT CT Radiographer licensure, 3+ years clinical radiography experience, 2 years of instructional experience in an accredited Rad Tech program, and strong communication and Microsoft Office skills; preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and prior experience with didactic and clinical radiography instruction, curriculum development, and program accreditation-related activities. Salary approximately $75,362 annually with comprehensive benefits; on-site location at CT State Gateway, New Haven, CT. CT State cannot sponsor work visas; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiology or a related discipline
- Three (3) or more years clinical experience as Radiographer
- Two (2) years' experience as an instructor in an accredited Rad Tech Program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration and CT Radiographer License
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
