Job Summary
Teach a four-course load in the Fall and Spring terms for the Interdisciplinary Studies program. Create and submit assessment reports for SACS accreditation, collaborate with LSU Online on program and course development, and support the continued growth of the interdisciplinary studies program. Conduct outreach efforts to recruit students and work with other university departments to develop additional interdisciplinary programs. This full-time position requires a Ph.D. or terminal degree and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Spring 2027 academic year.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or other terminal degree in a related field
- Effective communication, organization, and administrative skills
- Ability to multitask, collect information, analyze data, define challenges, set priorities, and draw valid conclusions in a timely manner
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching experience in higher education
- Curriculum design and credit evaluation
- Developing methods of recognizing and accounting for non-traditional college credit
- Teaching experience in remote modality, including preparation of course content for asynchronous instructional delivery
