Job Summary
The Assistant Professor of Nursing will actively engage in teaching for the BSN program, assessing student performance, facilitating course delivery, and promoting student success towards RN licensure. Responsibilities include course development, grading, mentoring students in clinical and classroom settings, maintaining academic records, and participating in faculty service activities. Candidates should possess a doctorate in nursing or a Master’s with potential for terminal degree, be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Indiana, and have a minimum of three years nursing experience. Experience in Women's Health/OB is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Earned doctorate degree in nursing preferred
- Master’s Degree in Nursing acceptable if potential to obtain doctorate
- Current unencumbered RN licensure in Indiana
- Minimum of three years’ experience in nursing
- Prior academic teaching at undergraduate level preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Women's Health/OB
- Proven potential to obtain a terminal degree
