Job Summary
Teach 12 hours of undergraduate courses each semester in kinesiology and related disciplines while developing, revising, and maintaining course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments. Advise and mentor undergraduate students regarding academic progress, career opportunities, and graduate/professional school preparation by establishing regular office hours and providing academic support. Conduct scholarly research through presentations, publications, and grant submissions while participating in curriculum development, program review, assessment, and accreditation activities. Serve on departmental, college, and university committees and engage in student recruitment, retention, and experiential learning initiatives. Maintain professional development and community outreach consistent with the University's mission.
Required Qualifications
- Earned doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D.) in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or closely related field
- ABD considered
- Ability to design, deliver, and assess undergraduate instruction effectively
- Demonstrated ability to conduct scholarly research and disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations
- Knowledge of student learning outcomes assessment and continuous program improvement processes
- Proficiency in instructional technologies and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community partners
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a dynamic academic environment
- Commitment to student success, academic excellence, diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Ability to supervise student research, internships, practica, and other experiential learning activities

Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching in Kinesiology at the collegiate level
- Proven ability to cultivate professional relationships with local, state and federal businesses
- CSCS and/or RD
- Ability to secure external funding and develop research collaborations
