Job Summary
Conduct daily unit rounds on assigned inpatients, manage outpatient clinic services, and oversee program outcomes, quality, and patient experience. Provide professional medical services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and coordinate care with primary physicians and hospital personnel to optimize throughput. Collaborate on clinical pathways, root cause analyses, and teaching activities for residents and fellows. Fluency in Spanish is greatly valued given local demographics. Required Qualifications
- Board certified in surgery
- Valid DEA Registration
- Florida Medical License
- Completed a colorectal surgery fellowship
- Strong commitment to patient care and education
- Interest in clinical research
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proper telephone etiquette
- Ability to perform duties in a tactful and professional manner
- Ability to provide professional medical services twenty four hours a day and seven days a week for 365 days (or 366 as the case may be) a year
Desired Qualifications
- 0 – 5 years post fellowship clinical experience in the field of colorectal surgery
- Fluency in Spanish
