Assistant Professor of Clinical - Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)

Job Summary
Conduct active inpatient and outpatient clinical practice for obstetric patients across University of Miami Kendall Medical Center, Desai Sethi Institute, Doral Commons, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Provide 12-hour shifts on Labor & Delivery six times monthly and perform physical assessments to develop comprehensive medical treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural domains. Deliver consultation for hospitalized and nonservice unit patients via telephone while participating in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Manage clinical investigation in patient-oriented, translational, or health services research domains using EPIC, Cerner, and Mobile Charge documentation systems. Adhere to University policies, report hazardous conditions and quality assurance incidents, and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Certification in relevant specialty or field required
- Active Florida Medical License & DEA
- Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license
- Credentialing needed
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience preferred
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary

- Required to cover 12 hours shifts on L&D, 6 shifts per month
