Assistant Professor of Clinical - Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)

Job Summary
Conduct active participation in inpatient and outpatient clinical practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology across University of Miami Kendall Medical Center, Desai Sethi Institute, Doral Commons, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Provide consultation for hospitalized patients on L&D service and nonservice unit patients by telephone, while performing physical assessments, prescribing medical treatment, and developing comprehensive medical treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural domains. Cover 12-hour shifts on L&D, six shifts per month, and gather essential information through record review and patient interviews. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information, report hazardous conditions and Quality Assurance incidences, and use EPIC, UHealth Clinics, Cerner, and Mobile Charge for documentation and billing.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Certification in relevant specialty or field required
- Active Florida Medical License & DEA
- Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license
- Credentialing needed
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience preferred
