Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for inpatient units at Jackson Holtz Women's & Children's Hospital, University of Miami Kendall Medical Center, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Provide direct patient treatment, perform physical assessments, and manage medical treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural domains. Oversee 12-hour shifts in Labor & Delivery, including six six-day and six six-night shifts per month, with consultation for hospitalized and nonservice unit patients. Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows while reporting quality assurance incidents and hazardous conditions. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to University policies while utilizing Cerner and MobileCharge for documentation and billing.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Certification in relevant specialty or field required
- Active Florida Medical License & DEA
- Credentialing needed
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- MD/DO
- BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical license
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
