Job Summary
Teach lecture-based and laboratory-based courses in human anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience to graduate and undergraduate students, adapting content for diverse cohorts. Contribute to student learning and professional growth by collaborating with faculty and departments to align curricula, while participating in departmental meetings and university committees. Advance scholarship through educational or anatomical research aimed at promotion, and mentor students within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DPM, Ed.D, or similar) in either Anatomy or a closely related discipline
- At least two years of experience teaching human gross anatomy
- At least two years of experience teaching human gross anatomy dissection
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Ability to carry, push, pull, kneel, and stoop
- Ability to move about campus to accomplish instructional and service tasks
- Ability to teach in person at our Oakland campus and/or online live
- Ability to read, write, compose, and edit complex documents
- Ability to do deskwork/computer work for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to express ideas clearly through verbal and written communication
- Ability to receive and interpret detailed information through verbal and written communication
- Willingness to mentor students
- Regular in-office presence to support daily operations, collaboration, and student or team engagement
- Full time employment status
- United States of America (Exempt) status
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with an M.S. degree may be considered based on teaching experience
- Graduate level experience teaching human gross anatomy
- Graduate level experience teaching human gross anatomy dissection
- Qualification to teach either Neuroanatomy or Physiology at the graduate level
