Job Summary
Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the mathematical foundations of artificial intelligence within UW–Madison’s Department of Mathematics, aligned with the RISE-AI initiative. The successful candidate will establish an internationally recognized research program in AI mathematics, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to innovative AI curricula across campus, mentor students, and engage in service. The hire is expected to advance equity in teaching, mentoring, and research; collaborate across departments and schools, and participate in seminars and interdisciplinary activities. The position emphasizes high-quality instruction, student-centered mentoring, and development of scholarly and teaching programs in AI foundational mathematics.
