Job Summary
Facilitate online nursing courses for the Nurse Practitioner Program by maintaining curriculum integrity, reviewing and revising course materials, and grading assignments and discussion posts promptly. Respond to all student communications within two business days, monitor attendance and progress, provide substantial feedback on assignments, and encourage course evaluations. Assist with monitoring student precepted practicum experiences and participate in research, scholarly projects, accreditation activities, and program committees under the guidance of the Program Chair and Dean. Maintain RN/APRN state licensure and attend meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university with a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and/or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Must possess an unencumbered Registered Nursing License and an advanced practice nursing license
- Clinical nursing experience in a specific population
- Two years of teaching in a college or university setting
- An indication of scholarly work
- Must be available Monday thru Friday
