Job Summary

Assistant Professor-in-Residence in the Honors College and Department of Psychology at UNLV will teach HON 201 (Honors General Psychology) and 400-level honors seminars rooted in psychology, contribute to curriculum development, mentor students, and perform college and university service. The position supports an undergraduate program in Children’s Behavioral Health Psychology with courses covering youth assessment, health promotion, addictions, targeted intervention, professional development and ethics, and inclusive practices. The role involves teaching responsibilities equal to both units, collaboration with program coordination for assessment and quality control, and opportunities for career advancement through continued professional development and service contributions.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline from an accredited college or university (ABD considered)
  • substantial teaching experience (including online teaching)
  • credentials must be obtained prior to the start date
  • candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
