Job Summary
Conduct innovative, independent, and collaborative research to maintain an outstanding, externally funded program in Global Anglophone Literature and Postcolonial Theory. Deliver a competitive teaching load and serve the department while advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within the University of Toronto's scholarly community. Submit a research statement, writing sample, teaching dossier, and three reference letters by October 15, 2026. Join a vibrant, decolonizing academic environment at the Faculty of Arts & Science, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in English or a closely comparable discipline with a specialization in South Asian, Middle Eastern, Caribbean, and/or Black Diasporic Literature and postcolonial theory, or a related area
- demonstrated record of excellence in both teaching and research
- research and teaching interests that complement and enhance existing departmental strengths
- evidence of excellence in research demonstrated by a record of publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals or other venues meeting high international standards
- submitted research statement

- teaching accomplishments
