Job Summary
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a board-certified Genetic Counselor for a 12-month, full-time faculty position within the College of Health Professions. This role involves designing and teaching didactic courses, mentoring students with thesis projects, contributing to program assessment and planning, and engaging in professional service. Candidates must have a Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program, certification in the field, and at least three years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
- Professional board certification in respective field
- Minimum of three years of full-time experience in the field of genetic counseling
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in teaching genetic counseling students
- Experience with clinical supervision of genetic counseling students
- Minimum of five years of full-time experience in the field of genetic counseling
Additional Requirements
- Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
