Job Summary
Faculty position in Endocrinology at UTMB Health seeking an Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical care, education of medical students, residents, and fellows; participation in research and clinical trials; weekend inpatient consults; travel to outpatient service locations in Galveston and throughout the southern Houston metropolitan area; clinic footprints including Bone Health, Obesity Medicine, Women’s Health, and Correctional Managed Care; schedule includes 8 half-day outpatient clinics per week; ensure high-quality patient outcomes; requires MD/DO, completion of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship; Texas license eligibility; opportunity for leadership and career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Program and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship program
- Strong commitment to patient care, medical student, and resident education
- Ideal candidates should possess 3 or more years' operating their own outpatient practice
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License
