Job Summary
Full-time Assistant Professor of Endocrinology responsible for inpatient and outpatient clinical care across Endocrinology services, with teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows. The role includes engagement in education and research and may involve travel to outpatient service locations in Galveston and throughout the southern Houston metropolitan area. Clinic workload includes 8 half-day outpatient clinics per week, plus weekend inpatient consult rotations, and opportunities to participate in clinical trials and research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Program and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship program
- Strong commitment to patient care, medical student, and resident education
- Ideal candidates should possess 3 or more years' operating their own outpatient practice
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License
