Job Summary
Endocrinology faculty role at UTMB Health seeking a full-time Assistant Professor to provide inpatient and outpatient endocrine care, participate in education and mentorship of medical students and residents, engage in research and clinical trials, and support clinical operations across Galveston and southern Houston service locations. The position includes a schedule of outpatient clinics, weekend inpatient rotations, opportunities for leadership and career advancement, and requires an MD or DO with completed Endocrinology fellowship, Texas license eligibility, and a commitment to high-quality patient care and education.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Program and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship program
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- ACGME Internal Medicine Program and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship completion
- Commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
- 3 or more years operating their own outpatient practice (preferred)
