Job Summary
Assistant Professor Endocrinology position at UTMB Health (Galveston, TX) with travel to outpatient service locations in Galveston and throughout the southern Houston metropolitan area. Responsibilities include a schedule of 8 half-day outpatient clinics per week and a weekend inpatient consult rotation, plus involvement in education/mentorship for medical students, residents, and fellows. The candidate will engage in teaching, clinical practice across Endocrinology pathologies (including Bone Health, Obesity Medicine, Women’s Health, and Correctional Managed Care), and contribute to research opportunities. Ideal candidates will have M.D. or D.O. degrees, completed ACGME Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship, a strong commitment to patient and trainee education, and the ability to obtain a Texas medical license. U.S. citizenship or employment authorization is required.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Program and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
