Job Summary
Assistant Professor of Endocrinology responsible for delivering outpatient endocrine care, participating in inpatient consults on weekends, and contributing to medical education of students, residents, and fellows. Requires clinical expertise in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, participation in education and mentorship, ability to travel to UTMB outpatient service locations in Galveston and the southern Houston metro area, and a commitment to academic activities including potential clinical trial involvement and leadership opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Program and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship program
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Living in communities served by UTMB Health (preferred)
- Strong commitment to patient care, medical student, and resident education
- Ideal candidates should possess 3 or more years' operating their own outpatient practice
