Job Summary
Conduct inpatient and/or outpatient clinical services coverage across Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital-Midtown, Grady Memorial Hospital, and the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Supervise, evaluate, and formally teach residents, medical students, and active Infectious Diseases fellows. Develop an active independent research program in infectious diseases. Submit three letters of reference. Obtain medical licensure for the State of Georgia and DEA certificates by the hire date. Perform all tasks in-person at an Emory University location.
Required Qualifications
- Attending physician coverage of the inpatient and/or outpatient clinical services at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital-Midtown, Grady Memorial Hospital, and/or the Atlanta VA Medical Center
- Supervision, evaluation and formal teaching of residents, medical students and active Infectious Diseases fellows
- Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by the date of hire
- Medical licensure for the State of Georgia
- DEA certificates
- Three letters of reference
- Satisfactory completion of three years of Internal Medicine residency training in an ACGME-accredited program
- Satisfactory completion of at least two years of Infectious Diseases fellowship training at the date of hire
- Position tasks to be performed in-person at an Emory University location
