Job Summary
Lead teaching, research, and service as an Assistant Professor in Counseling Psychology, focusing on social justice, multiculturalism, ethics, and clinical practica. Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses while advising graduate students on research activities. Collaborate with faculty, students, and community partners to address well-being, public safety, and civic engagement. Assist in developing a terminal master's program in Counseling Psychology. Join a core faculty team of 13 members within the Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Akron, contributing to synergistic doctoral programs in I/O Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and Adult Development and Aging.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Counseling/Clinical Psychology
- Licensed or licensed eligible
- Teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses

- Demonstrate a program of research with the potential for external funding
