Job Summary
Conduct general nephrology practice and dialysis rounding across the tri-state area (IN, OH, KY). Lead in-patient and out-patient clinical care while precepting fellows, residents, and medical students through office-based practice, lectures, and clinical case conferences. Mentor trainees and junior faculty in research and career development, and actively contribute to departmental meetings and committees at the program, college, and university levels. Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities for growth to advance the division's clinical, educational, and research missions.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent medical degree
- Ohio medical license
- Completion of three-year Internal Medicine residency
- Completion of two-year nephrology fellowship program
- Active role in departmental fellowship programs, resident, and medical student teaching
- Dialysis rounding across the tri-state area (IN, OH, KY)
- Precepting of fellows, medical students and/or residents in an office-based practice
- Providing lectures or leading small group discussions as part of the COM or residency curriculum
- Leading clinical case conferences, core curricula and journal clubs
- Mentoring trainees and junior faculty in research and career development
- Participating in graduate and medical education
- Contributing to academic service
- Participating in departmental meetings
- Serving on committees at the program, college, and university levels
- Demonstrating initiative in identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
- Actively contributing to solution-driven dialogue that advances the division's clinical, educational, and research missions
- Providing satisfactory proof of employment eligibility via the Federal I-9 employment verification process
- Official academic transcripts at the time of hire
