Job Summary
The Biology Department at Carthage College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology with a focus on Cell Biology to teach Introductory Biology, Advanced Cell Biology and other upper-level courses, starting August 15, 2027 (or January 15, 2027) with best consideration by October 1, 2026. Responsibilities include delivering undergraduate biology instruction, developing and maintaining an active undergraduate research program, and contributing to curriculum development and pedagogical practices. Candidates must hold a PhD in Biology or closely related discipline, demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and show potential to establish productive research with undergraduates, while engaging and educating students from diverse backgrounds. Location: Kenosha, WI. This is a full-time, tenure-track position beginning in 2027/2028, with a background screening required.
