Assistant Professor of Biology & Biotechnology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) — Tenure-track full-time faculty appointment beginning July 1, 2027. We seek an outstanding biologist who strengthens the department’s strengths in cell and molecular biology, microbiology, genomics, bioinformatics, and neuroscience, with computational/AI-driven approaches integrated into experimentally grounded research. Candidates should leverage machine learning, systems biology, genomics, imaging, modeling, and/or bioinformatics to address fundamental biology questions with biomedical, biotechnological, or environmental relevance, and must demonstrate a strong commitment to experimentally driven research with a substantive wet-laboratory component. The position requires a Ph.D. in Biology or related field, substantial postdoctoral experience, and a record of impactful research, along with a commitment to teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
