Job Summary

Teach undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses in accounting, financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and ethics. Advise and mentor students across all levels while developing academic programs and conducting independent research. Maintain a doctoral degree in accounting or business administration with strong scholarly output in specialized domains. Full-time, 9-month academic year appointment at St. Thomas University, a Catholic institution dedicated to developing ethical leaders through a multi-disciplinary, hands-on curriculum approach.

Required Qualifications

  • doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution in Accounting and/or Business Administration or in a related area
  • outstanding academic credentials that clearly demonstrate their ability to teach courses and conduct independent and successful research in Accounting and related areas
  • excellent communication skills
  • commitment to engage in a first-rate undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education
  • earned doctorate in Accounting and/or Business Administration, or related field
  • minimum 18 credits of post graduate Accounting course work or an active Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) license
  • demonstrated background and experience
  • Deep knowledge in specialized areas such as Advanced Financial Accounting, Auditing, Tax Strategy, or Forensic Accounting
  • Evidence of/potential for scholarly work in Accounting, Auditing or Taxation and related domains

  • Business ethics
  • Experience in college-level teaching, mentoring, and research consistent with appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor
  • Experience collaborating with industry on research
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team to achieve project goals
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with a network of faculty, institutions, and industry
  • Evidence of successful grant procurement related to the discipline of Accounting
