Assistant Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Verify raw materials for accuracy, document inventory, and request supplies two hours in advance. Monitor production line performance against standards while maintaining cleanliness and enforcing GMP, SQF, and safety protocols. Lead daily shift handovers, report equipment or personnel issues immediately, and train staff on assigned tasks. Collaborate with the Supervisor to identify root causes for QC holds and rework. Maintain accurate reports and attend required meetings. Work in a warehouse environment operating industrial equipment, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and standing or walking throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Average math skills
- Proven ability to perform tasks
- Ability to read and interpret company documents
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
- Ability to learn and use ERP system
- Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)
- Participate in company GMP walks
- Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring
- Operate standard office equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Able to operate industrial equipment and company specific equipment
- Associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
- Required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
