Job Summary
Supervise and support 3rd Shift production staff to meet daily goals in safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service. Lead production employees through coaching, training, and performance feedback while managing scheduling, staffing, equipment utilization, labor, overtime, waste, and supplies. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for production, sanitation, inventory control, and documentation. Monitor key performance indicators and execute corrective action plans. Participate in HACCP, GMP, SQF, and audit activities, partnering with R&D, Maintenance, and Engineering to reduce downtime and improve productivity. Champion safe work practices to ensure a compliant manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, plant operations, or production management
- Strong understanding of FDA, OSHA, EPA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and other food manufacturing compliance requirements
- Ability to obtain or currently hold HACCP, Food Defense, and SQF Practitioner certifications
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and support business needs that may include extended hours, early/late shifts, weekends, or on-call support
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field preferred
- Experience with food ingredient processing and ERP systems is highly preferred
