Job Summary
Manage and lead the busiest produce team by assisting the Produce Manager with merchandising, ordering, and inventory controls to maximize productivity and profit. Coordinate daily sales through planning, direction, and goal setting while maintaining freshness standards across receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, and rotation. Unload and sort store deliveries, operate produce equipment, and perform general housekeeping including cleaning tables, floors, cases, coolers, and freezers. Ensure all team members adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including COOL regulations and Food Handlers permit requirements. Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, lifting up to 50 lbs and using a pallet jack to move heavy objects.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
- Be dependable and reliable
- Have the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays

- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit

- Have the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Have the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects from 4" to 72"
- Have the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects for a distance up 3 feet
- Have the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects for between 10-50 hours without mechanical assistance
- Be able to use a pallet jack to move pallets a distance up to 20 feet
- Be able to use a pallet jack requiring a force of up to 85 pounds
- Be able to use a pallet jack for up to 5 hours
