Job Summary
Lead by example to set standards for customer service, associate relations, cleanliness, sanitation, and profitability while maintaining a positive, friendly, and fun working environment. Supervise, train, and develop produce associates to maximize sales and profitability by managing inventory levels, unloading trucks, and merchandising department products. Enforce all safety policies, local, state, and federal regulations, and the company food safety program while controlling labor and preparing work schedules. Maintain product quality, freshness, and proper pricing, ensuring accurate records and adherence to all policies. Assist the produce manager in promoting the company mission to "Run the Best Store in Town!" and provide exceptional customer service through prompt, courteous interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be knowledgeable in various training methods
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Flexibility in work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lead by example to give Food City Customers their best shopping experience
- Knowledge of Food City policies and procedures
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
