Job Summary
Supervise produce department associates, manage labor, and prepare work schedules while maintaining inventory levels and product freshness. Unload trucks, merchandise the department, and enforce all safety policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Lead by example to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and professional appearance while promoting exceptional customer service and a positive, friendly atmosphere. Assist the produce manager in ordering, pricing, and developing qualified staff to maximize sales and profitability. Maintain accurate records and adhere to company time and attendance policies during flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be knowledgeable in various training methods
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Flexibility in work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lead by example to give Food City Customers their best shopping experience
- Knowledge of Food City policies and procedures
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
