To direct and supervise all functions of the Produce Department in the absence of the Produce Manager. Responsibilities include assisting with merchandising plans, ordering products, ensuring adherence to policies for receiving and stocking, managing product quality and freshness, and providing customer service. Key skills required are basic math, strong communication, and physical capability to handle produce.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity of hands for trimming and packaging produce
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to stand upright for the majority of the scheduled work shift
