Job Summary
Lead, supervise, and develop the Produce department in collaboration with the Department Manager to ensure safe, profitable operations and exceptional guest service. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, scheduling, and evaluating department team members; communicating information across the department; maintaining department conditions and inventory; supporting division concepts and programs; achieving financial goals; ensuring quality product availability and proper safety procedures; training checkers in produce recognition; and fostering a positive, productive team environment while ensuring compliance with store policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year produce experience
- Must possess Certified Food Safety Manager certification
- Ability to perform basic math and computer tasks (Word, Excel, and Email)
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays
