Job Summary
Identify, evaluate, and recruit independent haulers to meet regional and national delivery needs while developing sourcing strategies through outreach campaigns and industry networking. Lead onboarding processes including contract negotiation, compliance checks, and system integration to ensure all carriers meet legal, safety, and insurance requirements. Maintain strong vendor relationships by monitoring KPIs such as on-time delivery and claims, implementing corrective actions, and conducting regular business reviews. Collaborate with operations, finance, and technology teams to align procurement strategies with business goals and support implementation of new delivery markets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, or transportation sourcing, preferably with independent contractors
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and procurement platforms
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in final mile delivery or gig economy logistics
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and carrier compliance standards
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for broader hauler engagement
