Job Summary
Assist the principal in administering instructional programs, coordinating student activities, and supervising teachers, custodians, and paraprofessionals. Implement curricula aligned with state standards, analyze student data to inform interventions, and coach staff through individualized feedback and professional development. Develop class schedules, observe employee performance, and conduct evaluations while ensuring accurate reporting of PEIMS data and student attendance. Manage campus budgets, oversee safety inspections and discipline systems, and coordinate transportation and support services. Maintain inventory of textbooks and equipment, respond to correspondence within one business day, and participate in virtual and in-person committee meetings. Ensure uniform adherence to district policies, federal laws, and the Code of Ethics for Texas Educators.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Texas Mid-Management/Principalship certification
- appropriate certifications for the evaluation of teachers
- three (3) years of full-time classroom teaching experience
- Thorough understanding of school operations
- strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills
- ability to coordinate campus support operations
- Administrator Level 307 or 308
- Texas or New Mexico driver's license
- insurable by the district's auto liability insurance carrier
- Subject to the district's drug and alcohol screening policy and regulation
