Job Summary
Assistant Principal of Instruction at IDEA Spears Academy leads instructional staff to achieve ambitious student outcomes, coaches teachers through curriculum and instruction, and monitors progress toward college readiness. Responsibilities include leading TEKS-based curricula and assessments, conducting weekly observations and coaching, analyzing data to drive strategy, reviewing lesson plans, communicating student progress with families, establishing a positive school culture and behavior management, overseeing tutoring and after-school activities, and dedicating 40+ hours per week on-site. Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), at least 3 years of full-time teaching experience, and demonstrated teacher leadership or administrative capability.
